Island Dreams

This client has always dreamed of having a spacious kitchen where family and friends could come together. They wanted an island which would serve as the hub of the home and central gathering point.

The biggest challenge was the original narrow layout of the kitchen. There was not enough clearance required to accommodate an island without undergoing major structural changes. After careful planning by our team, we decided to remove a back staircase which was taking up valuable space. This allowed us to open up the floorplan and incorporate an island.

In addition to removing the staircase, we installed an 8’ window to allow for natural light and this windows also serves as a backdrop for a custom range hood.

After months of planning, architectural drawings, and construction the kitchen is finally completed. The island stands as a centerpiece of the room and the dream of bringing family together has come to life.
