Elm- A Classic Home Reinvented
This whole-home remodel took an 1800s-era residence down to the studs (no interior wall was left standing). We completely reimagined the flow and functionality for a growing family of six, transforming the layout into an open, connected space filled with light and intention.
The first design move: remove the narrow back staircase (once used by household staff) to make room for a generous island that anchors the kitchen. Here, soft modern finishes meet a transitional palette—subtle plaster, warm wood, brushed brass, and natural stone.
Throughout the home, personality comes through in curated moments: a plum-hued dining room bar, a classic checkerboard marble sunroom floor, and upstairs baths layered with playful tile and unexpected pattern.
The result is a home that honors its history while embracing modern life and is fresh, functional, and full of character.
